The owner of a dissident Russian website has been shot dead after being detained by the police.Magomed Yevloyev [photo] was apparently shot in the temple while in police custody, in what the police are calling an accident.
Yevloyev's website, ingushetiya.ru, was very critical of the Kremlin.
The government had made repeated attempts to shut it down.
