Even more disturbing, perhaps, a report published Wednesday by the Daily Times says the parliamentary defence secretary, Tanvir Hussain Syed (major-retired) was once a member of the banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LT).
“I was a member of the LT and I admit it on the floor of this house,” he told the National Assembly while taking part in a debate...What would be the equivalent in US terms? It's almost as if Dumsfeld told the Senate he was a war criminal.
