Is Bush Ready To Resign?

President Bush continues to hint that he may be thinking of resigning. And if I am reading him correctly, he may be planning to take his Vice President, his Cabinet, and all his other advisers and supporters with him.

The latest sign of this impending move came today, according to this piece on the CBC News website, which quotes Bush as saying:

"By now it should be clear that authoritarian rule is not the wave of the future. It is the last gasp of a discredited past."

I've been saying the same thing for more than four years. And in my opinion, it's about time he started taking the idea seriously. I eagerly await the last gasp of this discredited presidency.
