On another front ... I've been working on a long complicated post, the latest draft of which got devoured a few minutes ago when my system crashed.
So please enjoy this open thread while I try to find it ... or replicate it ... or maybe I'll just sit here and go quietly crazy while I curse these wonderful machines that were supposed to make our lives so much easier that in The Future (as portrayed by the puff pieces which I read all the time as a kid) our biggest problem was going to be figuring out what to do with all our leisure time! ;-)
