Journalist Ed Bradley, of CBS's "60 Minutes", passed away yesterday after a fight with leukemia. His interview with former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds has recently been posted at YouTube, in four parts, and I am pleased to present it here.
Part I
Part II
Part III
Part IV
Thanks to Luke at Wot Is It Good 4, who drew our attention to these videos.
These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.
They don't deserve to be impeached. But it would be a good start.
Mercy
If you had any idea what F democracy means and what your F country has done, you’d be down on your F knees begging your Christian god to forgive you every F day for the rest of your sad F life.
And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit. For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.
He who learns must suffer, and even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.
